Reaching new heights with LKAB Minerals
When LKAB Minerals achieved a record-breaking milestone in Canary Wharf, they wanted to bring the story to life. They had successfully pumped their low-carbon screed flooring product Gypsol on a 52-storey building. To capture this extraordinary achievement, they asked Fabrick to create a video case study that would showcase both the technical feat and the people behind it.
Capturing a landmark achievement
Filming on a live construction site in the centre of London brought a unique set of challenges. Heights, heavy machinery and a busy urban environment created logistical complexities for filming, whilst drone shots required strict permissions and Met Police approval. Simply getting access, keeping the crew safe and capturing footage demanded careful planning and coordination.
From storyboard to screen
Fabrick applied its full production process, starting with hand-drawn storyboards to map out the narrative and key visuals, before managing equipment, filming and interviews on-site with precision to ensure timing ran smoothly on the day and without disrupting the rest of the site. Post-production then brought the story together, combining beautiful footage, engaging interviews and storytelling into a polished video while dedicated account management kept the project on track from start to finish. The finished video was premiered at an exhibition by LKAB Minerals, with the video not only highlighting an engineering landmark but also demonstrating Fabrick’s ability to turn complex, high-stakes environments into compelling brand stories that engage, inspire and leave a lasting impression.
